Mirna Marovic, MBA
Director, VentureXchange Ltd.
Mirna Marovic is a Director of VentureXchange Ltd. where she conducts financial and private sector development assignments for international financing institutions (IFIs) in South East Europe, as well as works on private equity & venture capital and financial advisory projects. She served as project manager in producing the Western Balkans Venture Capital Assessment, a study used in preparation of the Western Balkans Enterprise Development & Innovation Facility (WB EDIF), a joint initiative of the EU, IFIs, bilateral donors and governments of the Western Balkans with EUR 145 million of initial capital which is expected to effectively translate into over EUR 300 million in direct financing for SMEs in the region.
She has orchestrated the establishment of Turnaround Management Association Croatia (TMA Croatia) and the Croatian Private Equity and Venture Capital Association (CVCA). For many years she has successfully combined the high-profile consultancy assignments and academia, working as a Lecturer at the Zagreb School of Economics and Management. She also served as Assistant Minister at the Croatian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration. Prior to her return to Croatia in 2004, she was based in London and held corporate and structured finance positions at major investment banks including Merrill Lynch, BNP Paribas and Credit Agricole Indosuez.
She holds an MBA from INSEAD, an undergraduate degree in Economics (BSc Econ) from the London School of Economics and has completed Investment Management and Corporate Finance programmes at the London Business School. She is currently pursuing a PhD in Financial Management at the Faculty of Economics, University of Ljubaljana with a thesis on private equity and venture capital (degree expected later this year). She holds EFFAS Certified ESG Analyst (CESGA®) diploma, as well as other professional qualifications. She speaks six languages: English (fluent), French (fluent), Italian (fluent), Spanish (fluent), Russian (good), and Croatian (mother tongue).
Ante Kristo, MA in Finance
Finance and Business Advisory Associate, VentureXchange Ltd.
Ante Kristo is a Finance and Business Advisory Associate at VentureXchange Ltd. where he is providing consultancy in due diligence for M&A, company valuation, business plan, financial restructuring and PE & Venture Advisory.
Ante graduated at Faculty of Economics and Business in Finance with suma cum laude. He’s a co-author of the scientific paper “Monetary and absorption to explain the Croatian current account” published in “Proceedings of Rijeka Faculty of Economics: Journal of Economics and Business”.
Ante worked on a range of leading companies during his placement at Deloitte Croatia. During his placement at Deloitte, he was performing testing and analytical procedures of various accounts and generating a variety of financial reports. Ante is strongly interested in the field of corporate finance especially investment and project valuation and M&As.
With his background in finance and audit, he has strong quantitative abilities, keen social acumen and excellent communication skills. He speaks English (fluent), Italian (basic) and Croatian (mother tongue). Ante is currently enrolling in the CFA program and financial modelling & valuation analyst certification (FMVA).
VC Advisory Associate, VentureXchange Ltd.
Ivan Miskovic is a Venture Capital Advisory Associate at Venturexchange Ltd. where he connects clients with capital markets and executes on fundraising strategies.
Prior to joining Venturexchange, Ivan spent three years at the German venture capital firm Pd Ventures as an investment manager, where he worked on multiple early stage and growth equity investments across diverse technology verticals, including venture investments into social media platform Nebenan and b2b SaaS platform Ryte where he took a board seat. His total track record comprises 15 equity investments, includes two M&A exits and an IPO at the NYSE with former portfolio company Spark Networks valued at $150 million.
Ivan began his career as an entrepreneur, founding the e-commerce platform Fashable during his undergraduate studies in Vienna. After which he joined Berlin based Delivery Hero Holding for an operations management and city launch role, where he engaged in the startup’s growth to become the leading global delivery enterprise valued with $3.5 billion dollars at the time of his departure to London based Deliveroo, where he briefly engaged in the startup’s growth to a $1 billion dollar valuation.Ivan holds an undergraduate economics degree from FAU in Germany, with a semester in international business at WU in Vienna.
He is a native speaker of Croatian, English and German, has conversational skills in Spanish and holds an advanced Latin proficiency certificate. Ivan has a passion for libertarian politics and is a keen host of his families estate in Trogir during the holiday season.
Digital Marketing Associate, VentureXchange Ltd.
Marta Zadravec is our Digital Marketing Associate where she creates content on several social media platforms, works on the design of the VentureXchange website, Turnaround Management Association (TMA Croatia) and Croatian Private Equity and Venture Capital Association (CVCA) websites.
Marta graduated at the Faculty of Economics in Marketing in Zagreb. During her studies, she studied International Business at the University of Economics in Cracow as part of CEEPUS student exchange program. During her studies, Marta was part of many student associations in the region and participated in Erasmus Volunteering programs in the EU.
Marta Zadravec worked as a social media curator in digital marketing department at FOREO, one of the leading beauty brands. During her placement at FOREO, she was suggesting and writing content for social media and working on engagement strategy for the brand. Marta is passionate about digital marketing, creative approach to content and new technologies.
With her marketing background, she gained skills in content creation, basic design techniques, and a creative mindset with excellent business communication skills. She speaks English (fluent), German (basic), and Croatian (mother tongue).
